Finalist for fashion design competition @visionmmode x @muralfestival (23/05/04)
This project is an exploration of memory, mystery, and emotional layering. Inspired by the visual language of Mando Marie, it uses asymmetry, textured materials, and detailed craftsmanship to create a piece that evokes a sense of quiet complexity. Macramé cords are used as both structure and symbol, echoing themes of tension, nostalgia, and the imperfect beauty found in what’s handmade. The experience is meant to be immersive, tactile, and reflective — inviting viewers to engage through both feeling and form.
The work mirrors the duality often present in Mando Marie’s pieces — balancing softness and strength, shadow and light. Through the use of subtle color contrasts and intentionally off-balanced elements, the pieces reference the layers of emotion tied to personal history. It becomes a meditation on imperfection and resilience, aiming to leave a lasting, sensory impression.
